Free Illuminated River walking tour from Blackfriars to Lambeth bridges

The final five bridges of Illuminated River have come to life this Spring - discover them with the City of London and Westminster Guides.

Blackfriars Road, Waterloo, Golden Jubilee, Westminster and Lambeth bridges were lit in April this year, making Illuminated River the longest public artwork in the world.

Join this gentle, evening stroll alongside the Thames to find out more about the project, the artist and the historic bridges which form the final phase of this extraordinary, public artwork for London. Walks last about 90 minutes and are organised for maximum groups of six people.

The Guides leading the new walk are accredited by the 'Two Cities' - London and Westminster, as the newly illuminated bridges cross the boundary. You will meet them to start the walk in the City of London and end in the City of Westminster.

Meeting point: Inside the entrance of Blackfriars Underground Station North side. (District and Circle tube lines and Thameslink)

Please note:

• The walk is step-free but uses lift access, suitable for wheelchair users. It ends on the riverside near Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospital, near Westminster and Waterloo tube stations.
• The Guides will be wearing masks and are risk assessed and aware of government guidelines in regard to tourism and guiding.
• We ask that you observe social distancing and bring your own hand sanitiser. Unless you are exempt, please wear a face mask/covering.
