Illuminated River Night Sketching, 7-9pm
Join artist Alexis Teplin for a special night sketching session and learn how to capture the impressionist shades of the Illuminated River artwork. The event will be hosted indoors at Bateaux London’s brand new Pier Bar, boasting panoramic views of the Thames bridges. The Pier Bar’s mixologists will be serving a bespoke Illuminate London cocktail inspired by the Illuminated River artwork.
Drawing equipment will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own pencils and paper if you so wish.
Alex Teplin is a California-born painter and installation artist based in London. Her work has been exhibited at the Whitechapel Gallery, the Hayward Gallery and New Art Centre, Salisbury and is currently on display at the Bluecoat Library, Liverpool and the Sydney Biennale. She teaches painting at the Kingston School of Art and the Royal College of Art.
