Planning Application Overview
The Illuminated River Foundation has submitted 30 planning applications and 18 applications for listed building consent across seven riverside authorities for its major public art installation Illuminated River that will bring light and colour to the heart of London.
The scheme has been developed in consultation and collaboration with over 50 organisations on and around the river, including the Port of London Authority and Historic England.
Interactive Environmental Summary
In addition to these planning applications and supporting Environmental Statement, the Illuminated River Foundation has also created the first ever digital Interactive Environmental Summary. This is an overview of the 15 bridges – their heritage and environmental surroundings – and a summary of the likely benefits and impact of the project on bats, birds, and fish as well as the proposed light levels.
